This fortnight my Long Covid has been pretty bad. So rather than the planned post you’re getting a brief update on a cause we love and lots of solarpunky links :)
Shorter Working Week Successes
We want a world with a different concept of prosperity.
One where a successful economy is defined by the quality of experiences and relationships we enjoy rather than the quantity of crap we consume.
That’s why last summer, we wrote ‘Solarpunks for a 4 day week’ to support those lobbying for a shorter working week.
When we wrote that blog a pilot of over 60 companies and 3000 employees was underway.
The results are now in with 92% of employers involved saying they’d continue with a shorter working week.
More than 70% of workers had reduced levels of burnout and many also reported improved health and wellbeing.

Building on the great success of the pilot the 4 Day Week Campaign has teamed up with jobs platform - Four Day Week.
FDW, as we like to call them, advertise positions offering rewarding roles that are less than full-time. Many of their roles are also flexible and remote. You can see more about them here.
If you worked one day less a week for the same money what would you do with the extra day? Let us know in the comments below :)

Absolutely fantastic. There's no reason why things can't change, because when they do, they're supposed to do so for the better. If companies want to stay open five days, they just have to stagger staff. It's not that hard. Everyone wins.
