A new term for the Solarpunk Foundations course
Our friends at the London School of Solarpunk (LSoS) are following up the success of their first programme with a new one starting on 24th May.
The Solarpunk Foundations course is a three-week programme held in Hackney, North London, for up to 15 participants. It features a series of lectures on topics such as social art, energy humanities, cooperative economies, creative activism and more.
This second cycle will run from 24th May to 14th June, with sessions taking place on Saturdays and a warm lunch included. Additional activities will be held during the week, including at The Post Bar in Tottenham, where LSoS are now hosting a regular residency on Wednesdays .
The Solarpunk Foundations course operates on a Pay-As-You-Can basis. LSoS recommends a contribution of £60 for the full programme to help cover food, materials and facilitation costs.
If you're looking to forge new friendships, build a collective project, disrupt the status quo and explore the intersection of energy, art and activism, this school is for you.

Welsh government backs the sharing economy with a growing network of “libraries of things”
People across Wales can now borrow less frequently used items, “from power tools to pasta makers” from their local Benthyg Cymru, or “library of things.”
This community-driven initiative promotes sustainability, equity, connection and skill-sharing, saving households money while reducing carbon emissions. Learn how this Welsh version of the sharing movement came about and what other countries can learn from it to build “an economy that works for people and planet, not just profit.”

I just realised that my Substack is a Solarpunk project. Sorry for my lateness to the party, it's only taken me 8 years to arrive and about 1 year of Substack. I'll be reading Solarpunk Stories!
