I recently talked to Kathryn McClatchy on her podcast, Unleashing the Next Chapter, about SolarPunk Stories. Kathryn helps independent writers develop and market their work.Â
We talked about some of the behind the scenes at SolarPunk Stories, why we love substack and the new project we’re starting (more on that below). You can listen to the podcast here.
Want to save the world in style? Solarpunk Style?
We want to inspire the radical change we need by sharing visions of solarpunk worlds we can build together.
That’s why we’re launching SolarPunk Style, a YouTube channel to champion art, activism and enterprise for a deliciously sustainable future.
We’re looking for Co-Founders and collaborators to shape its direction and share the adventure with us.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in learning more about and potentially collaborating on then click here to read more.
Has solarpunk inspired you?
I’m due to talk about solarpunk on the Circular Economy Podcast soon (I know it’s a lot of pods!).
Their excellent producer has asked me to think about examples of the circular economy that I feel are solarpunk.
She’s also asked for examples of people who feel they have more power to create a deliciously sustainable world after reading solarpunk fiction.

So I’m putting that over to you dear reader.
What are your examples of projects or enterprises from the circular economy that are solarpunk?
Has your belief you can change the world with others increased after engaging with solarpunk stories? Can you share any examples?
Let us know in the comments below :)
Until Next Time
That's all for this update. If you like what we’re trying to do here and know someone else who might do too then please share.Â
See you in the sunshine,
Alex Holland

Oh I can't wait to support your YouTube channel!!! I'll be one of the first to subscribe!
Ref examples from the circular economy that are Solarpunk - this isn't a specific project that exists in the real world now, but it is the way that some farms may be heading in the near future. Large tractors being replaced by 'herds' of small, electric, autonomous farm vehicles, some planting seed, some microdosing fertiliser only where it's needed, some killing weeds with a laser - all charged on the farm's own renewable generation and all directed by satellite and drone imagery. See the piece I wrote here:
