Let's stop the most solarpunk TV series so far being cancelled
A future society where vibrant communities live immersed in nature while embracing the potential of technology. Sounds pretty solarpunk right?
Well this vision is brilliantly depicted in the awesome SciFi series Moonhaven.
In spite of this show being 'a hit with fans' and due for renewal, Moonhaven is being cancelled by AMC. This is because of that company's current financial troubles.
To try and stop that from happening we have started a petition. You can sign it here, and see some comments supporting it on our Instagram post here.
We’re hoping either AMC will change its mind and renew the series, or another company might decide to carry it on.
We’re trying to save Moonhaven not only because it shows a deliciously sustainable possible future, but also because it’s a thrilling shade of solarpunk.
Similar to our SolarPunk Detective series, a murder mystery helps add drama to the exploration of this world.
The series also has brilliant acting and conceptual design, like the cool wooden ‘triquarter’ above.
The team behind Moonhaven obviously poured their heart and soul into making it.
The original series of Star Trek avoided early cancellation by getting enough people petitioning for it to carry on.
We can do the same and help this greener, even solarpunk, scifi series live long and prosper.
Sign the Save Moonhaven petition and to paraphrase the show, the future can be better - if we make it so.
