For us the biggest thing solarpunk has to offer the world isn’t stories or artwork.
It’s inspiring people to believe a deliciously sustainable future is possible and then taking action to make it a reality.
It’s been thrilling to see more and more people defining themselves and their projects as solarpunk in recent years.
We want the movement to grow faster so it can help us avoid climate breakdown and make solarpunk a reality.
This is why we’re going to start SolarPunk TV - a YouTube channel looking toward sunnier futures today.
Its mission will be to build a more diverse, popular and effective solarpunk movement.
We plan to create high quality videos about all things solarpunk.
From interviews with authors and artists to examples of those prefiguring a solarpunk future now through their activism and enterprise.
We’re considering funding the startup costs through crowdfunding, donations and other creative ideas too.
We’re looking for partners and collaborators to make this project happen. People who can help shape the style and direction of SolarPunk TV.Â
Are you someone who has, or know anyone who has:
Experience editing or producing high quality YouTube videos?Â
Been part of building a successful YouTube channel from nothing?Â
Captivated viewers through your presentation of video content?
Created groovy animations?
If so please get in touch with us by emailing on solarpunkTV AT gmail.com, or DMing us on the SolarPunk Stories Instagram.
If you have ideas of what you think would make good videos to go out on SolarPunk TV please leave them in the comments below.Â
A solarpunk future is possible, if we make it so :)
Until Next Time
That's all for this update. If you like what we’re trying to do here and know someone else who might do too then please share.Â
See you in the sunshine,
Alex Holland
